Behind the listed facade, the building was restored and renewed from scratch. The west wing and the area where the restaurant is today located were completely rebuilt and the attic floor additionally erected out of necessity in 1978 replaced by two glass stacked storeys.
To do this, the building had to be founded anew – with a total of 220 drilled piles.
In addition, static specifications demanded the installation of a total of 338 composite steel girders and 90 new reinforced concrete props.
